Our Approach

At Collective Nurturance services are relationally centered, developmentally appropriate, and neurobiologically respectful.

Attachment Theory

Our therapeutic lens of the world is rooted in Attachment Theory by John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth which informs our belief that relationships are the catalysis for healing and change.

Polyvagal Theory

Our understanding of the connections amongst the nervous system, emotional responses, communication, and behaviors are informed by Polyvagal Theory by Stephen Porges

Neurosequential Model

Our foundational approach to addressing trauma, particularly developmental trauma, and promoting resiliency is through the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics by Dr. Bruce Perry

NeuroRelational Framework

We utilize the NeuroRelational Framework by Dr. Connie Lillas to operationalize treatment.

Touchpoints

We honor the great late Dr. Berry Brazelton by focusing on Touchpoints in our support to families and caregivers with anticipatory guidance through the developmental stages in the early years, to find mutual delight with their children, and to find ways to have parental mastery and build their confidence.
